Meet David DeMersman
David DeMersman is the owner of Gulf Coast Model Railroad and Hobby Shop. He and his business partner, Kelly Weeks, have a strong passion for model railroading. After a full career in real estate appraising, David purchased the five year old Gulf Coast Model Railroad business back in 1989 with fellow enthusiast, Kelly, to pursue their strong interests in model railroading and to share their hobby with others. In 1993, the business was relocated to its current Clark Road address.
Today, Gulf Coast Model Railroad and Hobby Shop is Sarasota’s premier model railroading and train accessory store and is the leading supplier of model railroad equipment and accessories in for the entire South Tampa Bay area and west-central Florida.
